Tata Steel constantly strives to put Odisha on the economic and industrial map of the world. Apart from the very many projects that have been either completed or are in the process of development in Odisha, some other projects in the anvil initiated by Tata Steel are:  

 

 

  • A prospective hub of economic and industrial activity is being developed in partnership with the State Government of Odisha at Gopalpur. The Project has great potential for generation of employment for the local population.
  • Tata Power is developing a 2000 MW Power Plant at Naraj, Marthapur.
  • Telecom Services across the State is being strengthened and refurbished through many initiatives of Tata Teleservices.
  • A Global Software Development Centre has being set up by IT major Tata Consultancy Services at Bhubaneshwar.

 

All these ongoing projects of Tata Steel will have a multiplier effect as it will help in the development of local industries/businesses and will attract further waves of investment. Moreover, the projects will increase the employment opportunities and will contribute substantially to the state exchequer.

 

The ‘Ginger’ Chain of Hotels

Ginger Bhubaneshwar provides all DOT (Department of Tourism) approved three-star facilities including special facilities like Smart Basics™ such as Smart Space™, Safe zone™, gymnasium, meeting room, self check-in kiosk and is geared to make the guest’s stay comfortable and pleasant. Plans for developing other Ginger hotels in the major commercial cities and towns of Odisha are part of the Tata Group’s infrastructure and facilities improvement programmes for the State.
